“My purpose is to make a difference for people who want to make a difference. I believe that when leaders succeed in living their values, it’s not just the business that benefits but society as a whole.
I love climbing and hiking in the world’s wild places. My adventures strengthen my personal foundations – courage, resilience and adaptability. I bring my experiences to bear in helping clients develop their own foundations for exceptional leadership.
My coaching philosophy focuses on helping you develop as a courageous, authentic and trusted leader. I see myself as your dedicated resource for personal and professional growth. Taking a practical, positive approach, I will help you build a toolkit of resources and strategies to support your continued development and lasting success."

True Leadership values
The foundation of my coaching is three values:
courage, authenticity and integrity.
I set bold goals aligned with my purpose, and strive to define success on my own terms. I take ownership of my growth and achieving the outcomes I want, and I champion my clients to do the same.
“Without courage we cannot practise any other virtue with consistency. We can’t be kind, true, generous or honest.”
I am true to myself; I align my business and my actions with my vision and values. I support my clients in developing an authentic leadership style.
“I was once afraid of people saying, ‘Who does she think she is?’ Now I have the courage to stand and say, ‘This is who I am.’’’
I do what I say I will do and say what needs to be said. I challenge clients to live up to their potential and be accountable for their progress.
“Integrity is choosing courage over comfort, and choosing what is right over what is fast, fun or easy.”
I am a professional leadership
coach, mentor, consultant and trainer with experience of helping my clients create lasting impact for their business, community and society. I am a member of the International Coach Federation, The Coaching Academy and the UK Values Alliance.
Over a successful 10-year development career, I worked in small, mid-sized and global charities, giving me an understanding of the challenges of organisational development. I helped senior leaders in investment banking, FTSE100 organisations and media companies build partnerships with non-profits to fund world-leading medical research and international development programmes. I continue to support philanthropists in achieving this impact through strategic consultancy for a small number of organisations each year.
In my early career as an information professional at the University of Oxford and the House of Lords, I worked with academics, administrators and influencers. These two aspects of my professional experience mean I understand the context and challenges of clients across the public, private and third sectors.work with me
how I work
I work with people in and aspiring to leadership roles, helping them lead in line with vision and values, build confidence, navigate challenges and achieve personal, performance and leadership outcomes.
Examples include helping a charity director increase her strategic influence and impact, a head of HR secure board buy-in for a people strategy, and a rising star in the STEM sector manage her team effectively and shape her career trajectory.
Clients say I bring an energy to our conversations, offer the right kind of challenge, keep them honest, and help them get beneath the surface to create change where it really matters.
"Coaching with Clare was worthwhile, helpful and insightful. I learned a lot. It wasn’t always comfortable – Clare would ask questions that weren’t always easy to answer. She was challenging in a positive way – helping me find a new, different way of looking at things."
